The ABC’s of Adventure Ahead

Last weekend was a blast - full of activity and ministry outreach! We had Worship Under the Big Top on Saturday evening in Fort Worth followed by Sunday morning worship services at First Baptist Churc Red Oak. These two events provided opportunity to draw near to God and to lead others in worship of the King! And we were surrounded and embraced by a wonderful community of people!

I am so grateful for the community God has so blessed us with. A community composed of rich relationships and many deep spirited friends. This community is a continual work in progress. Even as we reconnect with old friends, God continues to cultivate fresh new friendships every single day! I love the way God knits together this tapestry of community into our lives.

Y’all, an Authentic Biblical Community (ABC) is at the center of the real Church. People, alive in Christ, fully surrendered to his purposes and plans. Men and women, young and old, all surrendered, seeking to become fully developing followers of Christ. ABC is realized when believers embrace the mission Jesus gave his Church in Matthew 28. We find our beginnings, our purpose, and our meaning - in the Great Commission. By Gods authority and command, Jesus commissioned his Church by saying, "Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our future is rooted firmly in this commission. This is our mission . .. our purpose! Let’s be wholly saturated in the work of our master, the Lord Jesus. Let’s commit to sharing the Gospel Message with everyone we meet, training believers both near and far in the way of this new life!
